In 1995, tourism in the Uva e Vinho region sparked the entrepreneurial spirit of the couple Jaime José (a practicing physician) and Maria Alice Farina (a hotelier and tourism expert). Thanks to the cultural and gastronomic heritage of Italian immigrants, tourism in the region was evolving. At the time, several tourist routes, such as Caminhos de Pedra and Vale dos Vinhedos, were being developed, expanding business opportunities and events throughout the area.

In 1990, Farina Park Hotel opened its doors under the management of Maria Alice. In 2003, Arte in Tavola Restaurant was inaugurated inside the hotel. This high-end dining concept, inspired by Italian cuisine, was introduced by Italian chef Mauro Cingolani and became a pioneer in the region.

Today, the couple is investing in a large event center adjacent to the hotel, designed to host social and corporate events. They continue to contribute to the region’s economic and social development through the sustainable growth of Farina Park Hotel, their active participation in tourism and hospitality organizations, and their voluntary support of local philanthropic initiatives.
